We are a black private equity firm investing in Unlisted Impact Investments. We currently manage two Funds: Makwande Agri-Impact Fund and an Socio-Economic Infrastructure Fund:

Agri-Impact Fund 

The Fund invests in livestock value chain, targeting three segments namely: livestock, primary animal healthcare and agro-processing. Makwande Capital aspires to increase its Agri-Impact  funds under management to R 2,65 billion in the medium term and be an enabler for communal, commercial farmers, and providing equitable development, food safety and affordable quality food.

Socio-Economic Infrastructure Fund 

The size of the Fund is expected to be R 1,3 bn. The management team has secured an attractive R12,5 billion infrastructure pipeline base diversified across economic and social infrastructure. Through our infrastructure Fund, we invest in a wide range of infrastructure asset classes, transformative to Gross Domestic Product growth including;

  • Economic Infrastructure:

– Utilities Infrastructure (Water and Electricity networks);
– Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) Infrastructure; Research and Development
– Transportation Infrastructure (toll roads, rail, ports, airports)

  • Social infrastructure:

– Education – Schools,
– Hospitals,
– Social housing
